Fun at the Pond

Today we all walked a couple miles to my house where we had a quick refreshment on the back deck and then to the pond right beyond my backyard. We had about 10 nets and a few containers to hold our catches in for observation. It wasn't long before I heard screams of excitement from all around the pond...."WE CAUGHT A FROGGGGGGG", "WE CAUGHT ANOTHER FROOOOGGG" and "WE CAUGHT A CATFISH". The kids had so much fun exploring the pond life and trying to catch frog after frog. After about an hour of constant motion we returned to my back deck to have a cool Popsicle before the walk back to school. We will write a reflection piece tomorrow in class about the whole experience.
