Mrs. Macnee's Mixed Up Chameleon

Today we worked on creating our own mixed up chameleon based on Eric Carle's book, The Mixed Up Chameleon.The children all painted wonderful community papers in which they used the same technique Eric Carle uses in many of his books. In the story the chameleon wishes to be something other than himself and takes on parts of these other animals which just so happen to be from all the colors of the rainbow. Well, after looking hilarious and ridiculous, the chameleon just wishes he could go back to just being himself!! Don't we all? Luckily the chameleon changes back to his wonderful self!!! As you can see from the pictures the children have become wonderful illustrators in this class project. Enjoy!
