100th Day of School

We spent all day Monday celebrating the 100th day of school in kindergarten. We started out the morning making 100th day hats to wear throughout the day. We spent the work and choice time working on a 100th day activity completing sentences such as: "I wish I had 100______," " I could eat 100_______" BUT "I could never eat 100_____". During Math time we worked on counting items in groups of 100, writing numbers to 100 and filling 10 circles each with 10 stickers and ink stampings. During snack we dumped in 15 baggies of 100 snack items into a big bowl to make a grand total of 1,500 goldfish crackers, m&m's, pretzels, animal crackers , chocolate chips, craisins, cereal and more. The children enjoyed eating the 100th day GORP during our afternoon snack. Each child had a chance to present their 100th day project in front of the class and take questions & comments when they were done. As you can imagine we have had a very exciting day in class.
