Last Friday the Four Winds Helpers came into the classroom to teach the kids all about Spiders and Webs. Sandy Connolly, Michael Ludwar and a Four Winds friend Miss Nancy had a variety of activities designed to open up the world of Spiders and Webs to the kids. The puppet show was a big hit and the kids were the perfect audience!! We had a chance to learn what it is like for a spider to feel its food in the web and go and fetch it. We were also able to put together a felt mock up of a spider and all its parts. We even had a chance to go outside to find real life spider webs and some children even found one inside the classroom in the corner of the window. We can't wait until the next Four Winds Date in November. Thank you to the volunteers who help out with this very valuable service.
