New Year Classroom Activities

The beginning of the new year means new activities in the classroom. Perhaps the most exciting change has been the introduction to Guided Reading Groups. Every child has a brightly colored book bag with a guided reading book and other activities inside it. There is so much anticipation and excitement around learning how to read. The children want to spend every spare minute reading their books to anyone who is available. This is what learning is all about. They are invested, engaged and ready to GO!!!!!
