Pumpkin Field Trip October 2008

The kindergarten class traveled to Whitcomb's farm in Williston to learn everything they need to know about pumpkins. Mary Whitcomb spent some time with the kids explaining how difficult it is sometimes to grow a pumpkin from a seed. We saw all different kinds of pumpkin seeds ranging from the very small to the very large. We spent a lot of time going through the corn maze trying to find the clues that would help us complete a word teaser. The weather was brisk but our spirits were lifted as we picked out our pumpkin to take back to class.
