Hint: Just click on the little X when the annoying 'Super Poke Pets' logo comes up which is a distraction to the slide show.
This week we have introduced Math Work Stations which is an integral part of the Math Bridges program. Some of the slides you see are of the kids exploring 3 different math stations: Polydrons, Shapes and Unifix cubes. By Friday, There will be 2 more stations introduced and we will have had a lot of math conversations about what they noticed about each stations materials. The children have the chance to rotate through the stations after a whole group lesson on a particular concept. In some of the slides you see the children working on writing their numbers by filling in the September calendar and learning to recognize numbers past 20. Ms. Spillane can be seen working with children on a graphing activity that records the favorite gingerbread book that we have been reading these past several days. As you can see, the children are all having a wonderful time become learners in all aspects of kindergarten!
